Anthopometry Tests - Waist to Hip ratio (Girths)
Assessment of your Waist to Hip ratio is made up of median taken from three trials of your
Waist and Hip measurements (any units may be used). Performance is assessed against a Waist
to Hip ratio.
Waist circumference is an important factor is determining the risk of increase of type 2 diabetes,
hypertension and heart disease even in people of normal weight, hence a high percentile waist to
hip ratio coupled with a high percentile BMI is a marker of increased risk.
