Anthropometry and Body Composition is the science of measuring the dimensions of the human body and its parts and its composition. Anthropometry involves measurements of bone and general body breadths, girths or circumferences, lengths and skinfold thicknesses of the human body according to a standard set of guidelines.
Some common measurements are: stretch stature or height, body mass, girths such as waist and hips and skinfold thicknesses such as triceps, subscapular, biceps and iliac crest.
